The Dallas Cowboys have already struck gold with their draft pick, DeMarvion Overshown, a standout linebacker from the University of Texas. Now, according to the latest mock draft, the Cowboys are considering diving back into the Longhorn pool for their next selection.

Leading up to this spring, there has been much speculation about who will step up as the secondary option behind star receiver CeeDee Lamb for the Cowboys. While Michael Gallup has shown glimpses of being "the guy," he has also battled injuries in recent seasons. The addition of Brandin Cooks through a trade this offseason was aimed at providing more weapons for quarterback Dak Prescott. Additionally, Jalen Tolbert, in his second year, is showing promising development.

However, CBS Sports' most recent mock draft suggests that the Cowboys should reinforce their receiving corps with another pass-catcher. Chris Trapasso predicts that the Cowboys will select Xavier Worthy, a talented receiver from Texas. Trapasso highlights the opportunity for Worthy to learn from Cooks, stating that he brings "pure speed for the Cowboys offense who can lean on the wealth of knowledge that is Brandin Cooks at wideout."

Standing at 6-1 and weighing 172 pounds, Worthy is ranked as the 50th prospect in his class and the eighth-best wide receiver by CBS Sports. His exceptional speed and elite route-running make him an attractive prospect. Worthy has proven to be a highly productive pass-catcher, accumulating 134 receptions for over 1,900 yards and 22 touchdowns throughout his career.

Scouts commend Worthy for his ability to consistently find openings in the defense, and if their evaluation is accurate, his addition could further elevate one of the NFL's premier receiving units.
